Definitely the best so far, the characters are growing well and the side story lines are far less annoying and more interesting.
On to the next one!

The Gallows Bird
At last! all of those irritating, book to book back stories have been resolved. I can stop being irritated and actually enjoy these superbly twisted and plotted stories for what they are without distraction.
The Stonecutter
I love the mysteries in these books, they certainly keep you intrigued with their well plotted twists and turns.
Sadly I still find myself annoyed with the sometimes random, almost half hearted side stories of some of the peripheral characters. They either drag out too long or appear thrown in just to fill space, or explain the ‘against the norm’ behaviours of such characters.
The Preacher
A little less complex than the previous novel, and with a slightly annoying side story that needs answering, The Preacher is a fine sequel, but I’m sure there is far better yet to come from this author.
