Hill Climbing

“There’s nothing like the smell of petrol and burnt rubber on a Saturday morning!”

and you know, he’s not wrong.  Today Boo and I have whiled away the sunshiny hours getting high on 100 octane petrol fumes, and being deafened by ridiculously loud exhausts, screeching and wheelspinning tyres, and backfiring engines, whilst watching the British & Midland Championships, at Prescott Speed Hill Climb.

Here are my favourite cars of the day.

  1. I’m a big hill climbing fan. I used to live a few miles from Shelsley Walsh and used to visit Prescot quite a bit as well as a track marshal. Now living in Peterborough, it’s not so easy to get over that way these days.
